Building multi-agent systems for safety-critical engineering. Researching where agent trust boundaries break down under real production load.
About
I spent a decade making defense equipment more dependable — space systems, aircraft, ground vehicles — because seven years as a UH-60 Blackhawk crew chief in the Army National Guard taught me what happens when it isn’t.
These days I build multi-agent AI systems for the same audience. The engineering philosophy hasn’t changed: LLMs propose, deterministic engines decide, and unvalidated model output never enters the system of record.
Off the clock I’m raising a little engineer, coaching T-ball, restoring a project car in the garage, and fixing up the house myself because I’d rather understand the wall than guess.

Background
10+ years of defense reliability engineering — space, aerospace, ground vehicles. Seven years maintaining and crewing UH-60 Blackhawks in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
Clearance
Active TS/SCI. Comfortable working on programs where the cost of getting it wrong is measured in lives, not revenue.
Based
Sacramento, CA. Open to remote-first and defense-adjacent work.
Experience
Delivering reliability models and analysis for Critical Design Reviews across billion-dollar space programs. FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, reliability growth modeling. Managing Top-Secret data sets.
Led a cross-functional team that built a Python application cutting $10M+ in purchasing spend. Designed UI/UX, data pipelines, OCR integration. Ran Scrum sprints.
Overhauled reliability processes that hadn't changed in 60 years. Built cross-functional FMECA processes across multiple military contracts.
Created Reliability-as-a-Service ($200K year one). Led team of 7. Published analysis saving a customer $1.2M. This is where ML/AI first caught my attention.
Seven years maintaining and flying Blackhawk helicopters. This experience shaped everything that followed — it's why I've spent my career making defense equipment safer and more dependable for the people who depend on it.
